As a Cultural Healing Support Worker, your role will integrate traditional methods with essential health services, fostering a supportive workplace for healing. You'll prepare materials, assist in ceremonies, and ensure safety and functionality in program spaces. Your diverse skill set will contribute to the mission of the Healing Services Team in promoting health and well-being through Anishinaabe traditions and contemporary practices.
Key Responsibilities:
• Facilitate program activities and ceremonies effectively
• Engage in hands-on cultural and practical activities
• Provide participant support in various programs
• Ensure safe spaces for all program activities
• Maintain accurate documentation of progress
Requirements:
• OSSD or equivalent; health care experience beneficial
• Deep understanding of Indigeneity and wholistic health
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Experience with Indigenous organizations
• Criminal background check and valid driver’s license
