Migrant Workers Centre is looking for a dedicated Staff Lawyer, focusing on providing high-quality legal support to vulnerable agricultural migrant workers in the Okanagan region. The position requires expertise in immigration and employment law while actively advocating for policy and legal reforms. In addition, develop cooperative relationships with community organizations to increase support for workers and facilitate their access to justice.

Key Responsibilities:
• Support workers with full legal representation and advice
• Identify needs of agricultural migrant workers with the Intake Manager




• Participate in advocacy meetings and reform discussions
• Create legal updates regarding migrant workers' rights
• Compile activity reports for funders and stakeholders

Requirements:
• Law Society of British Columbia membership or eligibility
• At least two years' experience in relevant legal fields
• Insight into issues facing migrant agricultural workers
• Excellent communication abilities; Spanish is beneficial
• Experience in policy drafting is an asset
