In the Indigenous Relations department at Black Diamond Group, the Junior Indigenous Engagement Coordinator plays a vital role in developing community relations initiatives. Reporting to the Manager, you will leverage your expertise to build strong connections with Indigenous communities, ensuring that culturally appropriate practices are followed in all engagements. Your role is crucial in maximizing the social and commercial benefits of partnerships.
Key Responsibilities:
• Enhance collaboration among internal and external stakeholders
• Manage relationships with Indigenous leaders and councils
• Coordinate essential meetings and community engagements
• Oversee Indigenous employment and training initiatives
• Report regularly on the progress of community projects
Requirements:
• 2-5 years of relevant work experience
• Degree in Business or Social Sciences
• Proven track record working with Indigenous peoples
• Ability to conduct effective presentations
• Solid planning and organizational skills
