The Interpreting Services team at Saint Mary's University seeks a qualified individual to interpret for lectures, seminars, and conferences. This position emphasizes collaboration with faculty and staff, ensuring equitable communication within STEM disciplines. Stay informed on best practices while working closely with the Interpreting Services Manager on special projects and material preparations.

Key Responsibilities:
• Interpret for various academic events, including conference settings
• Develop preparation materials alongside the manager




• Conduct ongoing research on academic interpreting best practices
• Support technical aspects of interpreting
• Assist in field-related interpreting tasks as needed

Requirements:
• Completion of recognized interpreter training
• Possession of CASLI Certificate or NIC certification
• Five years of experience in ASL-English interpreting
• Ability to engage in physically active interpreting
• Must have a valid passport for international travel
