Elevate student outcomes as a Speech and Language Specialist with QUALICUM SCHOOL DISTRICT in a temporary role. Support personalized learning experiences through collaboration and effective communication.
This temporary 0.60 FTE position is designed for a Speech and Language Pathologist who will work closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals. Your responsibilities will include planning developmentally appropriate learning, consulting on Individual Education Plans, and adapting curriculum to meet diverse student needs in the classroom. The role may shift based on educational program requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in planning responsive learning experiences for students
• Collaborate with staff, parents, and outside agencies
• Consult on the implementation of Individual Education Plans
• Use Information and Communication Technology to enhance learning
• Modify curriculum to accommodate individual learning differences
Requirements:
• Master’s degree in Speech and Language Pathology
• Registered with the BC College of Speech and Hearing professionals
• Experience with diverse student learning needs
• Previous work within a school workplace
• Skills in diagnosing and addressing learning challenges
