Become a Part Time Family Practice Physician at Penticton Regional Hospital, specializing in addiction medicine to support emergency services. Engage in meaningful assessments and treatment of substance use disorders.

In this role, you will focus on managing withdrawal symptoms and collaborating with the Substance Use connections team to guide patient care. This is an exciting chance to contribute to the mental health unit while participating in academic initiatives with the UBC Southern Medical Program. Additionally, opportunities for leadership training are available through the NAVIG8 Program.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assess and treat patients with substance use disorders
• Manage substance withdrawal treatments




• Collaborate with hospital teams for patient support
• Support discharge plans for patients in recovery
• Guide medical students in clinical settings

Requirements:
• Current license from College of Physicians of BC
• Preference for candidates with addiction medicine certification
• Mandatory coverage from Canadian Medical Protective Association
• Participation in BCCSU support programs
• Interest in leadership development programs
