WCB-Alberta seeks an Access to Information and Protection of Privacy Specialist for a full-time position in Edmonton. This role is vital in upholding the privacy rights of individuals while ensuring legislative compliance.
You’ll play a key role in the ATIPP Team, advising on privacy legislation and processing information requests. The ideal candidate will develop robust policies and educational modules, contributing to Alberta's commitment to workplace safety and support for injured workers and employers.
Key Responsibilities:
• Process requests under the Access to Information and Protection of Privacy Acts
• Develop and implement comprehensive privacy training
• Conduct thorough reviews of Privacy Impact Assessments
• Support investigations of privacy incidents and breaches
• Create reports and metrics to monitor ATIPP performance
Requirements:
• Relevant professional certification or considerable experience
• Extensive knowledge of Alberta's information regulations
• Experience with the development of privacy-related documentation
• Expertise in executing privacy training sessions
• Robust verbal and written communication skills
