Enhance health care access for Indigenous peoples as a Wellness Provider with the VNFC in Victoria, BC. This position emphasizes trauma-informed care and advocacy for clients.

In this role, you'll engage with the interdisciplinary VNFC Wellness Team to support Indigenous clients across various healthcare settings in Victoria and Western PCNs. By implementing culturally protected practices, you will facilitate access to social services and specialized medical care. Your work will primarily focus on individuals experiencing barriers to healthcare, actively organizing events, and providing educational resources to clients and health providers alike.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement holistic health care plans
• Accompany clients to medical appointments as needed




• Organize community health activities
• Promote cultural safety training to providers
• Collaborate with community agencies for service optimization

Requirements:
• Degree or diploma in a relevant field
• Direct experience in community social services
• Clean BC Class 5 Driver’s license
• First Aid certification required
• Must pass a vulnerable sector criminal record check

Drive positive health changes within Indigenous communities while implementing culturally safe practices.
