WSP invites an Intermediate Mine Waste Engineer to enhance its Mine Waste team in Western Canada. This role requires a proactive approach to tailings management, field investigations, and collaboration with engineering specialists. Your expertise will translate into actionable insights, ensuring safe and responsible waste management practices.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct dam safety inspections and field investigations
• Produce geotechnical analysis for project safety and integrity
• Develop waste management plans and regulatory compliance
• Monitor and enhance mine waste system performance
• Create explicit reports and assist in project execution
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in civil or geotechnical engineering
• 5-7 years of mine waste management experience
• P.Eng. designation in Alberta or British Columbia
• Applied knowledge of tailings and waste rock management
• Strong communication and mentoring skills
