Join our team as an Operations & Truck Driver , supporting our customers and location staff through reliable product delivery, hands-on operations, product handling, equipment maintenance, and day-to-day support.
Start Date
This is a full-time position with an immediate start date.
Operations
Coordinate and execute the movement of fertilizer and chemical products between Horizon locations and to customers
Load and unload products for customers and suppliers
Blend fertilizer for customers
Maintain fertilizer equipment and augers, including regular greasing and oil changes as required
Maintain equipment and rental equipment kept at the location
Complete inventory counts
Assist operations staff with various tasks, especially during busy season and when customers need to be served
Transportation & Delivery
Transport fertilizer by semi or Super B to Horizon locations and customers
Transport chemical products to Horizon locations and customers
Haul fertilizer and chemical products as required
Transport and deliver anhydrous ammonia to customers in the field
Complete and follow all required checklists
Ensure trucks and equipment are maintained according to schedule and ready for use on a daily basis
Maintain a log of problems or issues requiring attention or repair
Ensure trucks and equipment are serviced and maintained with assistance from shop technicians as required
Follow all transportation, handling, and safety procedures and protocols

Qualifications
A valid Class 1A driver’s license and Class 5 driver’s license, both in good standing, are required
Experience operating semi trucks
Operating fertilizer equipment or other agricultural equipment is considered an asset
A strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to perform basic equipment maintenance is an asset
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Robust attention to safety and safe product handling practices
Willingness to work extended hours and weekends during busy agricultural seasons
Location
Our office is situated just south of Cudworth, Saskatchewan, along HWY 2. Applicants are not obligated to live in Cudworth, but they should be within a reasonable driving distance, as the position is based at the Cudworth location and involves working in the surrounding area.
