Role Description The Server is a full-time, in office role based at Pheasant Glen Golf Resort in Qualicum Beach, BC, working primarily in The Nest restaurant and resort dining areas. Day-to-day tasks include greeting guests, presenting menus, taking food and beverage orders, and delivering items promptly and accurately. The Server ensures tables are properly set, maintains cleanliness in the dining area, and processes payments using point-of-sale systems.

This role involves communicating with kitchen and bar staff, managing guest requests and concerns, and promoting specials and events.



The Server contributes to a positive guest experience by providing attentive, courteous service and supporting team members during busy periods.

Qualifications

- Previous experience in serving or customer-facing hospitality roles, preferably in restaurants, resorts, or golf clubs.
- Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with guests of diverse backgrounds.
- Basic cash handling and POS system skills, including processing payments, handling receipts, and balancing transactions.
- Ability to work on your feet for extended periods, carry trays and dishes safely, and navigate busy dining areas.
- Knowledge of food and beverage service standards, including menu familiarity, allergens awareness, and responsible alcohol service (Serving It Right or equivalent certification is an asset).
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by resort operations.
- Team-oriented mindset, with the ability to support coworkers, respond well to direction, and maintain a calm, friendly demeanor during peak times.
- High attention to detail and cleanliness, maintaining sanitary standards in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Interest in golf and resort environments is an asset, with willingness to learn about resort offerings to assist guests with questions and promotions.
