Shipper/Receiver and General Plant Maintenance

We are looking for a Shipping/Receiving, Order Picker and General Plant Maintenance person.

Key Responsibilities

Seeking a motivated individual to join our growing company in the capacity of Shipping/Receiving Order picking and Kitting.

Responsibilities and duties would be as follows:

- Preparing shipments by packaging parts according to company procedures and specifications and/or customer specific.
- Enter all jobs onto the ERP system and maintain all logs.
- Packaging of parts into boxes and loading onto skids or crate and ensuring proper documentation is included and no damage in transit.
- Loading of pallets on and receiving off various types and sizes of trucks.
- Keeping and storing paperwork for other departments (i.e., customer service/invoicing etc.)
- Pick and assemble part kits for shipment to customers. Fill-out quality certification documents.
- Part identification marking duties as needed.
- Receiving of goods from vendors and stocking them. Verifying counts and damage.
- Liaising between departments for proper handling and procedures (i.e., customer service, production, service department, managers) to ensure order accuracy.
- Unloading of raw material/stock from storage and updating computer inventory system.
- Filling and maintaining shipping and receiving and receiving logs.
- Tagging incoming parts and material according to internal procedures.
- Driving company vehicle in local area for drop offs and pickups.
- Being organized and able to work in a fast-paced setting.
- Cutting raw material bars to required size using band saw (training provided).
- General plant maintenance duties: cleaning, snow shoveling around entrance doors, grass cutting, changing light bulbs and general warehousing duties.




- Work in a team as well as independently.
- Adhere to all company policies and practices.

Qualifications/Requirements:
- High School diploma is preferred.
- MUST have a valid G License with a clean driving abstract.
- MUST have good communication skills – both oral and written. Must be fluent in English.
- MUST be able to interpret documents for accurate shipping/receiving of inventory.
- Must have an overall positive attitude, adept to work with others, results oriented, and organized.
- Operate a tow motor/ forklift. License is an asset (training can be arranged).
- As this role is physically demanding; successful applicant MUST be able to lift 50 lbs. and stand for continuous periods of time.
- Avion is a Controlled Goods Registered facility – all employees must pass security assessments which include a police records check.

Job Type: Full-time Salary: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
