Join Hillsdale Estates as an Occupational Therapist, offering essential care in a long-term care environment. This role emphasizes patient assessments and the implementation of effective treatment plans.
As part of the Social Services Department's Long Term Care Division, you will be responsible for the proper assessment of residents and create treatment plans tailored to their needs. Your role will also involve documenting each patient's progress and training staff on handling residents safely and effectively to improve their independence and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct resident assessments and develop personalized treatment strategies
• Record interventions using Point Click Care and interRAI LTCF
• Assess mobility needs and supply necessary adaptive equipment
• Facilitate staff training on lift techniques and therapeutic modalities
• Lead group programs focused on cognitive competency assessments
Requirements:
• Degree in Occupational Therapy with active registration
• Valid ADP Authorizer certification
• Minimum of two years experience in long-term care settings
• Solid interpersonal and communicative skills
• Collaborative approach within interdisciplinary teams
