As Mental Wellness CBT Clinician, you will provide psychotherapy based on Indigenous worldviews and engage with Elders and Traditional Knowledge Keepers. The role encompasses psychosocial assessments and participation in clinical consultations to optimize treatment strategies tailored to client needs. Evening hours may be required to accommodate client schedules.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform culturally adapted psychosocial assessments
• Deliver psychotherapy with an emphasis on Indigenous methods
• Collaborate in clinical consultations for optimal care
• Engage with Indigenous communities for meaningful program development
• Attend meetings to enhance the CMHA Indigenous pathway
Requirements:
• Registration with an authorized psychotherapy body
• Experience in counseling and Indigenous mental health
• Robust grasp of the impact of colonization
• Capacity to merge Indigenous practices with Western techniques
• Access to a vehicle for community travel
