Empower residents with Lookout Housing and Health Society as a Tenant Support Worker in Vancouver, BC. This role focuses on skill training, crisis intervention, and enhancing tenant independence.
Reporting to the Site Manager, this casual position provides an opportunity to engage with residents to help them achieve greater stability. You will conduct tenant intakes, create service plans, and assist in managing finances and medications. Your involvement will ensure that each resident’s basic needs are fulfilled while promoting a supportive community environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct tenant intakes and provide support assessments
• Administer finances and medication to residents
• Keep detailed records of resident progress
• Work collaboratively with volunteers on-site
• Ensure compliance with health and safety protocols
Requirements:
• Diploma in Community Social Service
• Criminal Record Clearance for Vulnerable Sector
• Two years of relevant experience in a similar role
• OFA 1 First Aid and Food Safe Certificates
• Solid conflict resolution and advocacy skills
Contribute positively to tenants' journeys towards health and independence in a supportive atmosphere.
