Engage with history as an Indigenous Peoples Interpreter for the City of Edmonton. Share stories and culture, creating lasting memories for visitors at Fort Edmonton Park.

This ongoing part time position welcomes Indigenous Peoples to interpret and share histories related to Edmonton. Ideal candidates will bring strong storytelling abilities and traditional skills to engage with visitors of all ages. The role requires a commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion while facilitating workshops, programs, and events.

Key Responsibilities:
• Engage visitors using storytelling and demonstrations
• Interpret Edmonton’s Indigenous histories through role-play
• Lead large-scale interpretive programs and workshops




• Assist in high-volume special events and tours
• Maintain artifacts and program supplies

Requirements:
• Grade 12 completion or equivalent
• Experience working with the public and children
• Ability to speak Indigenous languages is an asset
• Knowledge of Indigenous cultures and histories
• Current Intermediate First Aid and CPR certification
