About Propel Physiotherapy: Established in 2016, Propel Physiotherapy is one of Southern Ontario’s leading assessment and rehabilitation centres for people recovering from neurological, complex orthopaedic, and sports-related injuries. We offer occupational therapy, physiotherapy, massage therapy, exercise therapy, mindfulness, and acupuncture services from three clinic locations in Etobicoke, Pickering, and Peterborough, as well as in the community (mobile) and virtually.
Location: This role will service two of our three clinic locations—Etobicoke and Pickering—with the ability to service clients in-clinic and, on occasion, in the surrounding community.
Clinical Qualifications & Experience Is in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario (COTO)
Holds a University Degree in Occupational Therapy
Clinical experience in neurological rehabilitation (physical, cognitive, sensory, and psychosocial) and upper extremity rehabilitation for orthopedic conditions is preferred
Experience in a private practice setting and/or as an independent contractor is an asset
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
A skilled listener who creates meaningful connections with clients and colleagues
Ability to manage their own caseload, respond to urgent issues, and consistently communicate with team members in a timely manner
Enjoys working in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team
Thinks outside the box and demonstrates good judgment and problem-solving skills
Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and challenging environment
Possesses a diverse skillset and willingness to share and learn as their role grows
Professionalism & Compliance Abides by college standards pertaining to client confidentiality, record keeping, informed consent, and practice as a licensed occupational therapist
Complies with college standards in record keeping and completes reports according to client treatment plans in a timely manner
Additional Assets Experience or interest in blogging and social media is an asset
Holds a valid Driver’s Licence and has access to a vehicle (for community visits)

What You Will Receive 1-on-1 mentorship with senior Occupational Therapist
Monthly clinical rounds with the full interdisciplinary team, including PTs, OTs, RMTs, and other healthcare providers
In-services by senior clinicians covering advanced OT techniques, splinting fabrication, and neurorehabilitation
Student mentorship opportunities – Propel routinely offers clinical placements for OT and OTA program students
Commitment & Compensation Independent Contractor — part time with the ability to transition to full-time employment
Versatile; ability to service clients in-clinic and, on occasion, in the surrounding community throughout the work week. Exact hours and days of operation can be discussed.
$45–$95 per hour, dependent on experience and skillset
