Become an essential part of Extendicare as a Full-Time RAI Coordinator in Timmins, Ontario. This role emphasizes interRAI assessments to enhance care planning and quality improvement initiatives.
Reporting to the Executive Director, the RAI Coordinator supports interRAI LTCF assessment integrity while guiding a cooperative care environment. You will validate assessments, ensure timely submissions, and support resident-centred planning based on CIHI standards. This role calls for expertise in long-term care and a commitment to maintaining data integrity for impactful decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate completion of interRAI LTCF assessments
• Validate and submit assessments accurately to CIHI
• Conduct routine audits for clinical documentation accuracy
• Analyze Quality Indicators and Case-Mix Index data
• Provide education on interRAI coding to team members
Requirements:
• Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) in Ontario
• 3-5 years’ experience in long-term care, interRAI preferred
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel applications
• Knowledge of quality improvement methodologies
