The Contractor Marketing Mastermind
Alberta
Teach contractors how to generate their own work, year round. They'll come to you as the expert on growing their business — and you'll be the reason it happens.
We help residential contractors scale their businesses with data-driven Facebook marketing, building them in-house lead systems so they stop relying on lead-gen sites and agencies. Our clients are real, hardworking small-business owners — your work genuinely helps them win.
We're one of the fastest-growing marketing and coaching companies in the contracting space, and we're still small enough that you're trusted with real responsibility from the start. Morning huddles, music, energy, leaderboards, and a group chat full of wins. We ring the bell. We celebrate. And we hold a high standard — this is a no-excuses, standards-driven culture for people who are hungry and going somewhere.
We're not for everyone. But if you're the right person, you'll have found your people.
The Role
You're the one who teaches them how to find their own work.
You'll be the primary point of contact for a book of contractors across North America who are building their own lead generation in-house. Your job is to get them results and to teach them the skill, so that generating work stops being something they hope for and becomes something they know how to do — every month, year round.
That means doing the work and teaching it at the same time. You'll script high-converting ads using the frameworks we teach, review copy, creative and backend setup before anything goes live, read the numbers with your clients, and then walk them through how you did it so they can do it themselves next time.
It also means holding the standard. Sometimes the ads are fine and the real problem is that nobody called the leads back — and you're the person who says so, kindly and clearly, because that's what actually gets them the result.
Our clients regularly tell us this changed their life. The Client Success Manager is the person who makes that true.
Lead weekly 1:1 Zoom calls with every client in your book
Script high-converting ads using our frameworks — then teach your clients to write them on their own
Review ad copy, scripts, creatives, and backend setup before anything launches
Analyze performance metrics and help clients genuinely understand their numbers
Hold clients accountable to calling their leads, completing tasks, and following the program
Research what's working right now and bring it back to your clients before they have to ask
Coordinate with our internal team to keep client projects moving
Troubleshoot issues, give clear next steps, and elevate when you need to
Support clients inside Meta Ads Manager and their CRM — full training provided
Compensation
$48,000 – $96,000+
A mix of base pay, commissions, and bonuses. What you earn moves with the size of the book you can carry and with the results your clients get — so the better you coach, the further past the top of that range you can go.
You'll be handed a system that has already worked hundreds of times.
We've managed thousands of ads, helped clients spend millions of dollars on paid advertising, and booked tens of millions of dollars' worth of work for contractors across North America — in almost every trade and just about every kind of market.
So you won't be guessing. You'll learn a proven system, you'll be taught exactly how and why it works, and you'll have our client success team and John, our founder, in your corner every week on what's actually working right now.
A system with hundreds of reps behind it
Hundreds of contractors, almost every trade, markets of every size. When you sit down with a client, you're bringing something that has already worked over and over — not a theory you're testing on them.
You'll be ready before you touch an account
You don't need to arrive knowing everything about paid advertising. You do need to learn fast — because you'll go through real mentorship until you can run this properly, and you won't be handed a client account before you're there. Client results are never the training ground.
Hands‑on support, every week
You'll have the rest of the client success team and John, our founder, to bring a difficult account to. Nobody here is left to quietly figure out a struggling client on their own.
We invest in our people
If there's a course, a program, or a conference that would make you better at this, we'll go and do it. We're all coaches at heart — we'd far rather spend money making you great than replace you later.
You become the person they call
Your clients will come to see you as the expert on generating work for their business. That's a rare position to hold with a business owner, and it gets earned on the weekly calls.
Your ideas actually land
Small team, short distance between noticing a problem and fixing it. If you spot something broken in how we deliver, you'll be the one who gets to change it.
Two things predict success in this seat more than anything else: the heart of a teacher, and being genuinely obsessed with your clients getting results. Almost everything else can be built on top of those two.
You get real satisfaction out of watching someone else finally get it
You're client‑obsessed — you want their result badly, including in the weeks they've lost steam
You'll do the extra research to find what's working right now and bring it back to your clients
You're analytical — you can look at a set of numbers and say what they mean and what to do next
Solid communicator, written and verbal
You're not afraid to tell a client something they don't want to hear when it's what they need to hear
Confident leading a Zoom call and coaching an owner running a multi‑six or seven‑figure business
Organized and reliable across a full book of clients at once — nothing quietly slips
Comfortable learning marketing tools: Meta Ads Manager, CRMs, Zapier
Problem‑solver who takes ownership instead of passing it along
A real edge: having worked in — or run — a contracting business. Helping a trades business with Meta ads is a genuinely different craft from helping an e‑commerce brand, and the strategies barely overlap. The more you understand the world our clients live in, the better you'll serve them. Experience in digital marketing or sales helps too.
The details
1–3+ years in client success, account management, sales, coaching, or marketing
Strong project management and communication skills
Confident with technology, plus a reliable computer and internet connection
Full‑time, Monday to Friday, with occasional evening or weekend availability for urgent client needs
Fully remote, with a preference for Ontario, Canada — we get the team together for dinners and celebrations, and it keeps time zones simple
What we offer
How we set you up to win.
$48,000 – $96,000+ as a mix of base pay, commissions, and bonuses. It moves with the size of the book you carry and with how well your clients do — the ceiling is set by your results, not by the posting.
You'll master lead generation
Do this well and you'll know how to make a business's phone ring on demand. That's one of the most valuable skills a person can have, and once you've genuinely learned it, it's yours for the rest of your career.
Real room to grow
Senior CSM, operations, owning initiatives of your own. We're growing quickly and we'd much rather promote someone who already knows our clients than hire in over them.
Remote — with a team you actually see
Work from home. We lean toward Ontario so the time zones line up and so you can make the team dinners and the celebrations we get everyone together for.
Work that visibly matters
You'll help a contractor go from wondering where next week's work is coming from to being booked out months in advance and making more money than they ever have. You're the one who made that happen — for them, for their crews, and for their families. Most days you'll finish knowing the work you did actually made a difference.
A team that wants to win together
High standards, high energy, high trust. You'll work alongside people who are as committed to your growth as their own.
We'd rather tell you the truth than waste your time. This role probably isn't a fit if any of the below sound like you:
You want a support role where you answer tickets and close them — this job is leading people
You avoid the hard conversation when a client isn't doing their part
You'd rather not be on camera or on calls for a good chunk of your day
You get frustrated explaining the same concept a third time in a different way
Things slip off your list when the week gets busy
You want credit for effort rather than for whether the client actually got results
You struggle to manage yourself or stay focused for long stretches on your own — this role runs on independence
You don't want to be held to a high standard
More about us
Want to know more about what it's like to work at The CMM?
Here's what we stand for, where we're going, and how we actually operate day-to-day. The more you know about us, the easier the decision.
What we stand for
Three values. Non‑negotiable.
These aren't posters on the wall. They're the lens we hire through, the standard we hold each other to, and the reason clients trust us with their businesses. If they sound like the way you already operate, we should probably talk.
Value 01
Unimpeachable Character
"Be the kind of person others are proud to stand next to."
Character is the foundation everything else gets built on. We deliver on our commitments, we own our mistakes the moment we notice them, and we do the right thing whether or not anyone is watching. It's the minimum bar to walk through the door — and we protect it carefully.
Value 02
Earn It Every Day
"There is no parking on Success Avenue. No one is above the work. No one has 'made it.' You prove it today, and then you prove it again tomorrow."
Your seat at this company is something you earn this week, not something you earned three years ago. That's not pressure for pressure's sake — it's the standard required to do the work we're doing at the level our clients deserve. The bar moves forward every week, and we move with it.
Value 03
Leave Them Better
"We are building a company that people are better for having been a part of — as a client, as a lead, as a teammate."
Every person who interacts with us — clients, prospects, teammates, people we'll never see again — should walk away further along than when they found us. Sometimes that means hard conversations and real accountability. We have them anyway, because being useful matters more than being comfortable.
Sound like the kind of standard you want?
We didn't start this company to build a small one. The opportunity in the residential contractor industry is enormous, and the people we're hiring today are the people who get to define what we build into it.
A long game, on purpose
We're not optimizing for the next quarter, the next funding round, or the next exit. We're building the kind of company that, ten years from now, has actually changed the industry it set out to change — and we hire and operate accordingly.
A market with no real ceiling
The residential contractor space is one of the largest, most underserved industries in North America, and the players currently serving it haven't earned the right to keep doing it. The room we have to grow into is essentially uncapped.
Early people define the company
The team we're building right now is the team that's going to set the standard for everything that comes next — culturally, operationally, and financially. If you take a seat in this chapter, you'll have an outsized hand in shaping what gets built from here.
This is the beginning, not the middle. The work is real, the standards are high, and the runway in front of us is massive. If you join us in this chapter, you're not joining a job — you're joining the team that gets to write the rest of the story.
Remote, but not casual
We're a fully remote team spread across multiple time zones, which gives us flexibility — but remote isn't a synonym for casual around here. We trust you to deliver, and we expect you to. Async when it works, live when it matters, and always with a sense of urgency that comes from the mission, not from a clock.
Direct feedback, always
We tell each other the truth — kindly, but clearly. If you're someone who wants to be coddled, this won't feel like home. If you're someone who wants to get sharply better at your craft, you'll thrive here. Feedback is treated as a gift, and we give it generously and receive it the same way.
Performance over politics
We've built a company where what you actually do speaks louder than how long you've been here or what your title says. Tenure doesn't earn you anything, titles don't earn you anything. Results, ownership, and the way you show up are the only currencies that matter — and they're available to everyone.
Mission first, always
Every decision we make eventually routes back to one question: does it help more contractors own their own lead generation? If yes, we do it. If no, we don't — even when it would have been easier or more profitable to say otherwise. The mission is the boss, and it never gets overruled.
