Become a vital part of the Strait Regional Centre for Education as a School Janitor, focusing on cleanliness and safety in school environments. Your work will support student learning and well-being across Nova Scotia.

In this role, you will clean designated areas, manage cleaning supplies, and monitor safety protocols. You’ll also be responsible for floor care, litter pick-up, and contributing to a team-oriented team effort. Upholding strict compliance with health and safety standards is essential.

Key Responsibilities:
• Daily cleaning of all assigned school areas
• Ensure adequate supplies are available for cleaning tasks
• Report any damage or maintenance issues to supervisors
• Arm and secure the building after hours




• Conduct floor care duties, including waxing and sealing

Requirements:
• Training in commercial cleaning methods and general repairs
• Valid WHMIS and First Aid Certification
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to assist
• Ability to operate security systems independently
