Join the Vancouver School Board as an On-Call Youth and Family Support Worker, dedicated to enhancing the educational experience for diverse students. This role, active from September to June, prioritizes student support and behavior intervention.
You will work across various programs, implementing individualized strategies, engaging with teachers, and documenting student progress. Your contributions are vital in helping students navigate complex emotional and behavioral challenges in the educational setting.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide direct support for individual and group programming
• Implement and monitor IEP goals and strategies
• Collaborate with educators on behavior plans
• Supervise students during challenging situations
• Develop resources and instructional materials
Requirements:
• Grade 12 and relevant post-secondary diploma
• Two years of experience in similar roles
• Solid background in behavior management
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills
• Willingness to pursue additional training
