As the PLC Robot Programmer, reporting directly to our Engineering team. You will be responsible for developing programs, integrations, and troubleshoots automated industrial machinery and robotic systems.

Program and troubleshoot PLCs using platforms such as Allen-Bradley/Rockwell

Develop and modify robot programs for systems such as FANUC, ABB, Yaskawa,

Design and implement machine-control sequences, interlocks, safety logic, and automated processes.

Integrate PLCs with robots, HMIs, VFDs, servo drives, sensors, vision systems, and other automation equipment.

Configure and troubleshoot HMI/SCADA systems.

Perform machine commissioning, startup, debugging, and optimization at customer or production sites.

Diagnose electrical, controls, networking, PLC, and robot-related faults.

Develop electrical/control documentation, I/O lists, software backups, and operating procedures.

Conduct system testing, including I/O checks, functional testing, and safety validation.

Work with electrical, mechanical, manufacturing, and engineering teams to deliver automation projects.

Provide technical support and train maintenance or production personnel.

Qualifications & Experience

Education: Post-secondary degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics, Robotics) or a related field.

Experience: 5+ years of experience in PLC and industrial robot programming.

Strong knowledge of PLC programming, HMI development, and industrial automation.

Experience with industrial communication protocols such as Ethernet/IP, PROFINET, Modbus, or DeviceNet.

Ability to read electrical schematics and understand industrial control systems.

Knowledge of machine safety systems and safety PLCs is an asset.

Experience with robotic cells, conveyors, servo systems, and automated manufacturing equipment.





Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Willingness to travel for commissioning and customer support.

Physical & Safety Tasks
All applicants must be able to perform the following tasks as part of their player-coach operational responsibilities:

Walk up to 5 km per day during manufacturing floor oversight and plant walkthroughs.

Stand and work at heights or navigate tight operational environments during commissioning phases.

React quickly to visual and auditory factory alerts.

Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) including safety footwear, safety eyewear, vests, and high-visibility gear during site visits.
