Since 1982, La Rose Specialty Foods & Fine Italian Bakery (www.larosebakery.com (http://www.larosebakery.com/) ) in Milton has been serving our community and surrounding areas with freshly baked from scratch breads, pastries, cookies and cakes as well as offering full service deli counter, hot table for lunch, catering services, espresso bar, selection of cheeses from around the world, fresh produce and specialty grocery items. We are currently hiring for a part-time Cashier (daytime) to join our team in Milton. Hours of work are 10:00am to 3:00pm Tuesday through Friday (and either Saturday or Sunday depending on the schedule opening or closing shift). Rate of pay is $17.60 In this role, the successful candidate(s) will have a friendly disposition, be respectful, dedicated, and have previous experience as a cashier. What You Will Do: * Front-end cashier to process customer orders. * Daily items of sale include bread, buns,
pastries, fresh fruits, fresh vegetables, coffee/tea, grocery items with bar codes, items that need to be weighed etc. * Packaging of baked goods for morning shifts. * Cleaning, dusting and filling/facing shelves of products. * Other duties and responsibilities as required. Qualifications: * 1 year of customer service experience preferred * Previous cashier experience * Must be available 5 days a week (closed every Monday) * Must be able to lift at least 25 pounds * Must have reliable transportation * Enjoy working with a team What We Offer: * Vacation pay on each pay. * A free sandwich is included at no charge for part-time employees (following a successful probationary period).
