Structural Engineering Designer Role:

As a Structural Designer at DG Biddle, with a supervisor and mentor you will design structural systems for a wide range of projects, including buildings, industrial frames, and the evaluation of existing structures. You will help take projects from concept to construction, applying advanced technical expertise in materials such as wood steel, concrete, and masonry In this role, you will help prepare construction documents and work closely with multi-disciplinary teams to develop projects to achieve the client design requirements.

This position is suited for graduate engineer who thrives in a small, diversified company setting, enjoys working on complex structural challenges, and is curious and willing to learn.

In this role, your duties and responsibilities will include:

Work within a team environment to develop structural engineering designs for residential, commercial, industrial, and institutional projects from concept through to construction completion.

- Design structural systems using wood, steel, concrete, and masonry
- Prepare comprehensive building permit documents, including structural drawings and specifications.
- Help ensure a high standard of quality, and help maintain DG Biddle’s commitment to engineering excellence.
- Continuously grow professional skills and knowledge through mentorship, training sessions, seminars, workshops, and involvement in associations.

The qualifications you need:

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Team player and able to work independently.
- Able to prioritize tasks with excellent organizational skills.
- Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills.

· Hourly remuneration with a total compensation package between $65,000 and $85,000/year
