We are looking for an ambitious and self-motivated Substation Project Engineer to join our growing Power Grid team. You will play a key role in the delivery of substation construction and refurbishment projects, working alongside leading energy companies to enable the expansion and modernization of critical power infrastructure supporting the energy transition.

Together, we leverage our expertise in power grid expansion to drive and successfully deliver energy transition infrastructure projects in collaboration with our clients. The focus of this role is on new construction and refurbishment projects of substations within transmission and distribution networks. Your Mission

As a Substation Project Engineer, you will take on a variety of responsibilities within national energy infrastructure projects and support our clients as a Project Coordinator or Owner’s Representative within complex project organizations. You will accompany substation projects throughout multiple project phases – from planning through execution – and actively contribute to the further development of our area of expertise.

What You Can Expect

Technical Project Management

You will take overall responsibility for coordinating new construction and refurbishment projects in substations and act as the central interface between engineering, planning, and implementation. You will coordinate internal technical disciplines as well as external partners and ensure smooth project execution throughout all project phases.

Interface &

- Quality Management:

You ensure efficient collaboration between all project disciplines and maintain oversight of technical requirements, changes, and dependencies at all times. At the same time, you support the project owner with quality assurance, structure project documentation, and accompany the technical handover process.

Digitalization &

- Interface Management:

You contribute your ideas to the further development of our processes and digital tools and actively drive the standardization and efficiency improvement of substation projects. You will support the implementation of modern IT platforms for planning, managing, and documenting complex infrastructure projects.

As a Senior Manager in our Public Service practice, you will play a market-facing leadership role in expanding Accenture’s footprint across the Government of British Columbia. You will help originate new opportunities, shape compelling client propositions, and identify transformation work that advances public service outcomes across the province. - Process capabilities, you will:

- Identify, qualify, and shape new opportunities across BC ministries and public sector organizations, translating client priorities into actionable transformation pursuits.

- Build and deepen trusted relationships with Assistant Deputy Ministers, Deputy Ministers, Executive Directors, and senior program leaders to position Accenture as a long-term transformation partner.

- Lead pursuit strategy and proposal development, including opportunity framing, win themes, solution shaping, commercial alignment, and executive-level messaging.

- Work with account, industry, technology, and delivery leaders to bring the best of Accenture to BC Government clients through integrated, outcome-focused solutions.

- Develop market insights on BC Government priorities, procurement pathways, funding dynamics, and cross-ministry transformation opportunities to inform account planning and pipeline growth.

- Shape AI-enabled reinvention opportunities across policy, operations, service delivery, and technology, ensuring proposed solutions are practical, responsible, and aligned to public value.

- Support account growth by identifying adjacent opportunities, expanding relationships within existing client accounts, and helping convert strategic conversations into funded work.

- Provide delivery leadership on strategic engagements, ensuring commitments made during pursuits translate into credible, high-quality client outcomes on the ground

What we're looking for

- A completed degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a comparable field

- Interest in or initial experience with substations, power grid expansion, or industrial plant engineering

- Ideally, knowledge of technical standards, as well as project and engineering planning processes
- A structured, analytical working style and strong problem-solving skills.

- Willingness to travel as required by projects and work flexibly across different project environments

- Fluent German and good English language skills

Here’s What You’ll Need

- 8+ years of experience in management consulting, within the British Columbia provincial government operations, or public service transformation, with a demonstrated track record leading engagements and managing Assistant Deputy Minister-level client relationships.

- Proven ability to direct multi-workstream transformation programs and to be accountable for the quality of outputs across an engagement.

- Demonstrated experience shaping and leading client pursuits and driving account growth in a consulting or professional services context.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, including experience advising and presenting to Assistant Deputy Minister and Director General-level stakeholders.

- Expert-level knowledge of Government of Britichs Columbia governance, the Budget cycle, and transformation precedents, with established relationships across central agencies.

- A minimum of a high school diploma or GED is required for this position

Bonus Points If

- British Columbia provincial security clearance highly preferred.

- Experience leading large-scale transformation programs in government or highly regulated environments.

- Demonstrated experience integrating AI-enabled reinvention approaches across policy, operations, and technology in a public service or complex institutional context.

- Experience developing new service offerings or capability areas within a consulting practice.
