Education: Other trades certificate or diploma Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years Work site workplace Confined spaces Noisy In/on water Work setting Ship Tasks Conduct maintenance and emergency repairs to engines, machinery and all auxiliary equipment Inspect maintenance and emergency repairs done on engines, machinery and all auxiliary equipment Operate main engines, machinery and auxiliary equipment on ships Stand engine room watch, monitoring and noting performance of engines, machinery and all auxiliary equipment Maintain records and prepare reports on engine performance and failures Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses 4th Class Marine Engineer Certificate Type of experience Passenger ship Ferry Security and safety Drug test Transportation/travel information Travel expenses paid by employer Work conditions and physical capabilities Fast-paced environment Tight deadlines Manual dexterity Attention to detail Personal suitability Dependability Reliability Team player Screening questions Do you have experience working in this field?
