Pensionable Salary Enhancement - Nurses in eligible classifications may be eligible to earn an additional $5.95/hour when working full-time hours within a prescribed six-month reporting period. (Effective April 1, 2025 March 31st 2027.) Position Overview Under the general supervision of the Program Team Manager, Mental Health and while demonstrating a commitment to the Mission, Values and Management Philosophy of St.

Boniface Hospital, the Ambulatory Care Nurse working under the general direction of the physician''s care plan and collaborating with him/her in adapting the plan of care, is responsible for: the assessment of individuals and/or families, as well as the planning, implementation, and evaluation of short and long-term therapy by attending to the relevant physiological, psychological and sociological needs of the patient; providing individual,



group and family therapy; providing consultation to multidisciplinary health care.

Experience Three (3) years clinical experience in acute care psychiatric nursing required (within the last five (5) years).

Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate) Baccalaureate of Nursing or BSc of Psychiatric Nursing, or RPN with BA (major) in Psychology preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

Certification/Licensure/Registration Current CRNM/CRPNM registration required.

Active participation in skilled associations e.g.

Association of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (ARNM) preferred.

Qualifications and Skills Scope of practice as documented in the Regulated Health Professions Act (RHPA)/Registered Psychiatric Nurses Act.

Knowledge of relevant community agencies/programs required.

Group therapy skills and crisis intervention skills required.
