Box Consulting Group is seeking an Electrical & Automation Engineer to work on a 1 year contract, with a high potential of renewal, for one of BC''s largest utility companies.

Duties: Act in the role of Professional of Record or Owners Engineer in Electrical, Automation, Protection and Control disciplines for all of Non-Integrated Area''s generation & energy storage facilities Provide technical support for diesel generation systems & energy storage facilities for off grid communities (100 kW 10 MW) comprising of: Diesel gensets and associated cooling systems, protection, controls, instrumentation, switchgear and fueling systems Battery energy storage & power conversion systems, protection, controls, instrumentation, and switchgear Design, program, troubleshoot and commission a wide variety of intelligent electronic devices including: Generator and station PLC''s and HMI''s, Fuel system PLC''s, Governor controls, SCADA systems, Protection relays and communication devices, and Microgrid controllers Prepare technical documentation including control narratives, specifications, standards, hazard logs, inspection & test plans, test procedures & reports, installation & commissioning procedures, operation & maintenance procedures, condition assessment reports, drawings and cable schedules Witness factory acceptance testing and oversee site installation and commissioning of diesel gensets, battery energy storage systems and associated equipment.

Work with electrical maintenance crews and CPC Technologists to sign off on repair and re-commissioning of protection, control and automation devices.

Help develop capital and maintenance plans Utilize MS CoPilot to enhance innovation and efficiency Qualifications: Degree in Electrical Engineering Registered as a P.

Eng. with EGBC Minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience Demonstrated technical knowledge of diesel and hydro-electric generation Experience with the following PLC/HMI/SCADA/IED manufacturers: Allen Bradley Siemens Schneider SEL Wonderware Must have demonstrated excellent written,



communication, organizational and conflict resolution skills Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work competently with crews, peers, and senior management Experience in use of Artificial Intelligence Additional: Required to travel to facilities in off-grid and remote communities for a minimum of 5 weeks per year Class 5 BC Driver''s license For more current job opportunities, Follow Match
