We are a well-established Hamilton-area trucking company seeking a hands-on Transportation Supervisor to support daily cartage operations. This leadership role is ideal for a dependable, safety-oriented professional who is comfortable working in a fast-paced industrial environment and leading by example.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily driver toolbox talks and field observations.
- Daily field observations.
- Conduct driver road tests and assist with applicant evaluations.
- Maintain regular in-person communication with customers to support service standards.
- Monitor compliance with Hours of Service, driver logs, inspections, and transportation regulations.
- Work with personnel to coordinate scheduled services, annual safety inspections, and equipment readiness.
- Prepare and maintain operational reports, records, and documentation.
- Use email, spreadsheets, and transportation-related systems to track day-to-day operations.
- Partner with operations and safety teams to identify and resolve issues promptly.
- Provide after-hours operational support when required.
Qualifications
- Valid AZ driver’s licence with a clean driving record is required.
- Previous leadership experience in trucking, cartage, transportation,
or logistics operations.
- Strong commitment to workplace and road safety.
- Comfortable leading safety discussions and reinforcing company procedures.
- Strong computer skills, including email, reporting, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Clear communication, sound judgement, and effective problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and support a team in a 24/7 operational environment.
- Heavy-equipment experience is an asset.
