Overview
We are seeking a skilled Truck and Trailer Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty trucks and trailers. Your expertise will help ensure our fleet remains safe, reliable, and compliant with industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform inspections, diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance on trucks and trailers
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, schematics, and diagnostic equipment to identify issues accurately
- Repair mechanical components including engines, transmissions, brakes, suspensions, electrical systems, and HVAC units
- Follow safety protocols diligently while working with electrical systems and welding tasks
- Maintain detailed service records and ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications
- Assist in assembly or installation of current equipment or parts when required
Requirements
- Proven experience as a mechanic or technician specializing in heavy-duty trucks and trailers
- Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive repair, electrical systems, HVAC, welding, and schematics interpretation
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently using appropriate tools and techniques
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation and maintenance procedures
- Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
