About the Position: This is a temporary part-time support staff position replacing a Bargaining Unit member, reporting to the Associate Director, Marketing & Student Recruitment working 24 hours per week at an hourly rate of $32.06 This position will start as soon as possible, and end June 11, .
This position performs a variety of complex duties in support of the administration and promotion of Lambton Colleges academic and support services.
The incumbent serves as a key liaison with prospective students and external audiences, requiring a high degree of interactivity and relationship-building.
The role requires comprehensive knowledge of all College programs, services, and student support systems to effectively inform, recruit, market, and advise prospective students and their influencers. A central focus is on supporting enrolment targets by attracting a strong applicant pool through the execution of tactics outlined in the Annual Recruitment Plan.
Specific Accountabilities: Inform and Advise: Maintain a thorough understanding of Lambton Colleges programs, services, and student support systems to effectively advise prospective students and their influencers Recruitment and Outreach: Deliver presentations (virtually and in-person) to diverse audiences including high school students, parents, and community groups.
Represent the College at events and conduct campus tours Relationship Building: Establish and maintain positive relationships with secondary and post-secondary institutions, community organizations, and other stakeholders to position Lambton College as a preferred choice Data and CRM: Input and maintain accurate records in the Colleges CRM system to support recruitment tracking and follow-up Advising and Support: Conduct one-on-one advising appointments to guide students through academic planning, program selection, and application processes Events: Upon direction of the Associate Director, plan, coordinate, and participate in recruitment and promotional events both on campus and in the community.
Qualifications: Completion of a two-year diploma or equivalent in a relevant field Minimum 3 years of recent experience in recruitment, marketing, public relations, or sales, with a focus on event coordination, multitasking, and meeting deadlines.
Additional qualifications include: Solid public speaking and customer service skills Experience working with youth (1625) Proficiency in Microsoft Office and internet research Ability to analyze data and develop recruitment strategies Knowledge of Ontarios education system and labour market trends Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
