Cedarbrae Veterinary Clinic is seeking a cheerful and motivated animal-lover for a full time, permanent Veterinary Receptionist position. We are a 3 doctor, CVO accredited companion animal hospital that focuses on dogs and cats . The ideal candidate will be dedicated to bettering the lives of clients and patients alike.
Responsibilities
- Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, or text in a timely and professional manner.
- Answering calls, booking appointments, submitting insurance claims, following up on patients and contacting clients for reminders, able to correspond with clients in person, by phone, text and email.
- Serve as a liaison between doctors, and clients
- Maintain detailed records of customer interactions and transactions in our database.
- Data entry, transcribing and maintaining electronic patient files in accordance with CVO regulations.
- Follow up with clients to ensure their issues have been resolved satisfactorily.
- Stay updated on product knowledge and company policies to provide informed support.
- Handling payments, balancing end of day and closing interac machine.
Requirements
- Previous veterinary clinic and Avimark experience considered an asset
- Previous experience in customer support in a veterinary clinic setting
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service.
- Ability to handle difficult situations with professionalism and empathy.
- Familiarity with veterinary terminology is a plus.
- Proficient in using computer systems and software for record keeping and communication.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
