About Bloom Academy
Bloom Academy is a growing online learning community offering engaging tutoring and enrichment classes for kids and teens. We partner with passionate, specialized instructors who help students build confidence, sharpen creative and technical skills, and develop genuine curiosity in a warm, supportive environment.
Our teachers are the heart of what we do — and we're looking for the next great one to join us.
The Opportunity
We're hiring an engaging Voice Instructor to teach live online singing lessons for kids and teens. Our primary focus is voice, and instructors who can also teach songwriting and musical theatre are especially encouraged to apply.
This role centers on private and small-group voice lessons, and may also include songwriting coaching and musical theatre work (repertoire, audition prep, and performance skills) depending on your background.
We're looking for an instructor who can meet students wherever they are — whether that's a first-time singer building confidence, a young performer preparing for an audition, or a teen writing their first song.
What You'll Do
- Teach live, interactive online voice lessons for kids and teens
- Develop students' vocal technique, breath support, tone, range, and stylistic flexibility across genres
- Where applicable, coach songwriting fundamentals (melody, lyrics, and song structure) and musical theatre repertoire, audition pieces, and performance skills
- Break down vocal and musical concepts clearly in age-appropriate, beginner-friendly ways
- Teach one-on-one lessons and/or small-group classes of approximately 2–5 students
- Create a positive, structured, and encouraging virtual classroom
- Adapt lessons to each student's level, learning style, voice type, and musical interests
- Provide thoughtful feedback that helps students build confidence, skill, and artistic identity
What We're Looking For
- Experience teaching voice/singing to children and/or teens
- Robust foundation in vocal pedagogy and healthy technique across one or more styles (e.g., classical, contemporary, music theatre, pop)
- Experience teaching songwriting and/or musical theatre is a strong asset
- Prior experience teaching, tutoring, coaching, mentoring, or working with children and/or teens
- Confident and engaging on camera
- Clear, warm communicator
- Reliable, organized, and professional
- Comfortable helping beginner students who may need extra support
- Ability to make singing fun, structured, and accessible
- A relevant degree or conservatory training in voice, music, or a related field is a plus
- Experience creating project-based lessons or curriculum is a plus
