Take on a pivotal role in wildlife management as a Wildlife Biologist II for the Government of Nunavut. Engage primarily in regional initiatives with a focus on terrestrial wildlife studies.

Reporting to the Manager of Wildlife Research, this role involves developing policies and practices based on scientific and Inuit Qaujimajatuqangit knowledge. Your expertise will help create effective management practices and ensure compliance with national and international obligations.

Key Responsibilities: • Lead and design wildlife research programs and surveys • Administer budgets and oversee field data management • Provide biological advice to various stakeholders • Manage projects and supervise team members • Collaborate with wildlife organizations and community groups

Requirements: • Master’s degree in Biology or related discipline • At least three years’ experience in wildlife management • Valid PAL for firearms and ability to handle immobilization drugs • Hold a passport valid within six months of start • Familiarity with Inuit culture and languages is an asset
