Job Description
Insight Global is looking for a Project Control Officer to support a portfolio of complex financial technology initiatives within the Capital Markets technology organization of a major Canadian financial institution.
This individual will provide project governance, financial tracking, schedule management, documentation, reporting, and project administration support to multiple project and delivery managers.
The ideal candidate will be a mature and proactive project professional who can manage competing priorities, maintain accurate financial and project records, follow up effectively with stakeholders, and support multiple concurrent initiatives involving foreign exchange, point-of-sale, payments, and related financial applications.
RESPONSIBILITIES / TASKS
• Maintain project and portfolio financials, including budgets, forecasts, actuals, variances, and supporting documentation.
• Create and manage RAID logs, resource tracking, financial reports, and project control records.
• Build, maintain, and update project schedules using Microsoft Project.
• Support project managers with governance activities, status reporting, meeting preparation, action tracking, and documentation.
• Monitor project milestones, risks, assumptions, issues, dependencies, decisions, and deliverables across multiple concurrent initiatives.
• Follow up with business, technology, finance, and delivery stakeholders to obtain outstanding information and drive action items to completion.
• Prepare consolidated project updates and program-level reporting for leadership.
• Maintain organized project repositories, governance materials, meeting records, and audit-ready documentation.

Skills and Requirements
• 7+ years of experience in project controls, project coordination, or project management support.
• Experience supporting projects within banking, Capital Markets, financial services, or financial technology.
• Experience supporting projects or products related to DCC, POS, MCP, payments, foreign exchange, or similar financial transaction applications.
• Strong project financial management experience, including budgets, forecasts, actuals, variances, and financial reporting.
• Hands-on experience maintaining RAID logs, resource records, project documentation, and status reports.
• Hands-on Microsoft Project experience, including creating and maintaining project schedules.
• Solid stakeholder coordination, follow-up, organization, and communication skills.
• Ability to support multiple project managers and manage competing priorities across a complex delivery environment. • Experience supporting payment routing, foreign exchange booking, trading, or other business-critical financial applications.
• Experience working in both Waterfall and Agile delivery environments.
• Experience preparing program-level roll-ups or reports for senior leadership.
• Experience with Jira and Confluence.
• Experience supporting projects within a large Canadian financial institution.
