**We are hiring General Production Worker's in Ancaster, Ontario!**
**Job Description**
As a General Production Worker, you support high-volume food production by performing general labor tasks such as packing, boxing, and working on production lines across multiple plants.

You contribute to efficient operations by handling products, operating basic machinery, and maintaining a consistent workflow in a fast-paced, repetitive environment.
**Responsibilities**
Perform general labor duties including packing, boxing, and handling products on various production lines.

Work on production lines for muffins, crumpets, cakes, bagels, English muffins, cookies, and other baked goods as assigned.

Align trays, place product into cups, and remove trays from the line for boxing in the muffin production area.

Carry out packaging and boxing tasks in the crumpets and related product areas, ensuring products are correctly packed and labeled.

Load and unload bagel trays and package cakes into boxes in a hotter production environment while following safety and quality standards.

Handle cookies in a mildly hot environment, performing packaging, basic quality assurance checks, and boxing.

Operate basic production and packaging machinery as needed, following all operating procedures and safety guidelines.

Lift and move materials and product cases weighing up to 30–50 lbs as part of daily tasks.

Perform repetitive tasks with accuracy and consistency while maintaining productivity targets.

Follow all quality assurance procedures to help ensure products meet company standards.

Comply with all health and safety policies, including proper handling of equipment and adherence to plant rules.

Participate in cross-training and work in different plants and areas as needed to support production demands.

Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper disposal of waste and adherence to hygiene standards.
**Essential Skills**
Previous general production or general labor experience, particularly in packaging, packing, or food production environments.

Ability to lift and move up to 30 lbs or 50 lbs safely and repeatedly during the shift.

Comfort working with repetitive tasks in a fast-paced production environment.

Experience with general production line work, including packing, boxing, and handling products.

Ability to operate basic machinery and equipment used in production and packaging.

Willingness to work across multiple production areas and plants and to be fully cross-trained.

Strong attention to detail when packaging, boxing, and performing basic quality checks.

Reliability and ability to follow instructions, standard operating procedures, and safety guidelines.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
Experience as a packaging operator in a manufacturing or food production setting.

Experience as a production line worker, particularly in high-volume operations.

Comfort working in environments with varying temperatures, including mildly hot and hotter production areas.

Ability to adapt quickly to different tasks, lines,



and products as required.

Basic understanding of quality assurance practices in a production or packaging environment.

The role primarily supports the cakes line for a new brownie product, but you receive cross-training to be comfortable working in all areas.

In Plant 1, you work on muffins in a non-hot environment, aligning trays, cupping product, and boxing finished goods.

In Plant 2, you focus on crumpets and related items in a non-hot setting, mainly performing packaging and boxing tasks.

In Plant 3, you handle cakes, bagels, and English muffins in a hotter environment, loading and unloading bagel trays and packaging cakes into boxes.

In Plant 4, you work with cookies in a mildly hot environment, performing packaging, quality assurance checks, and boxing.

The work is hands-on, repetitive, and physically active, with regular lifting of up to 30–50 lbs and use of standard production and packaging equipment.

You are expected to be flexible and open to cross-training, moving between plants and lines as production needs change.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ancaster, ON.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $20.70 - $21.30/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Ancaster,ON.
