About the Role
Door

Dash is looking for an Engineering Manager to lead the Merchant Financials engineering team.

This team is responsible for the building of Mx financial products (such as loan/capital, instant pay) used by millions of merchants on Door

Dash platform.

As an Engineering Manager, you will partner closely with product, design, and operations partners to define the roadmap to grow our sweet of financial products, including the launch of a brand new banking app.

You will manage a team of talented backend, web, and mobile engineers to build groundbreaking financial solutions and solve challenging technical problems.

Lead and grow a team of exceptional backend and client-side engineers delivering end-to-end engineering solutions
Collaborate with Product Managers, Business leaders, and key stakeholders to determine the team's roadmap and vision, and manage execution against that roadmap
Provide architectural guidance and professional development for a team of 8
+ Encourage innovation, teamwork, implementation of cutting-edge technologies, and outside-of-the-box thinking
Oversee the hiring process for your team, in partnership with recruiting, to grow a diverse and inclusive team
We're excited about you because you have…
BS, M.S., or PhD. in Computer Science or related field
2+ years of experience in people management leading full-stack teams (backend, web, & mobile) of 8+ engineers
8+ years of industry experience
Extensive experience as an engineer in a fast-paced,



product-focused development environment
Experience with distributed system design, system scaling, and performance optimization
Hands-on leadership and strong product intuition
Humility - willing to get into the details and open to feedback
Growth mindset - you're eager to expand your skill set and excited to carve out your career path in a hyper-growth setting
Adaptability, resiliency, and ability to thrive in ambiguity - things can change quickly, and you'll need to help the team evolve
Compensation
Actual compensation within the pay range listed below will be decided based on factors including, but not limited to, skills, prior relevant experience, and specific work location.

Base salary is localized according to employee work location.

In addition to base salary, the compensation for this role includes opportunities for equity grants.

The base pay for this position ranges from our lowest geographical market up to our highest geographical market within British Columbia.
$185,000 — $231,500 CAD
