The Team
The Out of Care Resources Team (QHB) assesses Kinship Care applicants, manages care provider contracts, and provides ongoing support to caregivers who help children and youth thrive in safe, stable, and nurturing environments.

As part of a team-oriented team of Out of Care Social Workers and a Team Assistant, you will work closely with Child Protection, Guardianship, Family Services, Indigenous Bands, Nations and Agencies, health authorities, school districts, and community partners to strengthen connections and build networks of care for children and youth.

This team values diverse perspectives, supports culturally responsive practice, and remains committed to reducing the overrepresentation of Indigenous children in care while helping children and youth maintain meaningful relationships and a strong sense of belonging.

The Role
As an Out of Care Worker, you will assess Kinship Care providers, complete home and caregiver assessments, manage financial supports and contracts, and connect caregivers with training, services, and resources that help them provide safe and stable care for children and youth.
