**Job Title: Forklift Operator**
**Job Description**
The Forklift Operator safely loads and unloads trailers using Raymond dockstocker forklifts and end rider power pallet jacks to move, stage, and handle freight.

This position is primarily equipment-based, with approximately 85% of the work performed on a forklift or power pallet jack, and the remainder involving general material handling and warehouse tasks.
**Responsibilities**
Load and unload trailers efficiently using dockstocker forklifts and end rider power pallet jacks (single and double).

Move, stage, and organize freight within a crossdock environment to ensure smooth flow of goods in and out of the facility.

Operate forklifts, power pallet jacks, and walkie pallet jacks safely and in accordance with facility procedures.

Handle materials, pallets, and packaged goods, ensuring items are properly placed and secured.

Support general warehouse, shipping, and receiving activities as needed to meet operational demands.

Lift and move items up to 50 lbs as part of daily loading, unloading, and material handling tasks.
**Essential Skills**
Proven experience operating dockstocker forklifts in a warehouse workplace.

Proficient in operating end rider power pallet jacks, including single and double jacks.

Ability to safely lift and move items weighing up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.

Familiarity with warehouse operations, including general labor, pallet handling, and shipping and receiving.

Ability to use RF scanners for scanning, tracking, and verifying shipments and inventory.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
Experience working in a crossdock or high-volume trailer environment.

Background in general warehouse labor, including packaging and order preparation.

Comfort operating walkie pallet jacks and other standard warehouse equipment.

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.

Good communication skills to coordinate trailer movements and workflow with colleagues.

**Work Environment**
The role is based in a crossdock warehouse where trailers arrive and depart continuously and must be loaded, unloaded, and staged quickly and safely.

The environment is active and fast-paced,



with frequent movement of freight and equipment such as dockstocker forklifts, end rider power pallet jacks, and RF scanners.

Multiple shifts are available Monday to Friday, including a morning shift (7:00am–3:00pm), an afternoon shift (3:00pm–11:00pm), and an overnight shift (11:00pm–7:00am), offering flexibility for different schedules.

The setting is typical of a warehouse facility, requiring adherence to safety protocols and appropriate work attire suitable for material handling and operating industrial equipment.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Calgary, AB.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
