is seeking a Full-Time Pharmacy Technician to join our team! As a Pharmacy Technician at Pharmasave Health Centre you will be joining an experienced team of pharmacy professionals and support staff that are dedicated to providing the best pharmacy care and patient experiences in our community. You will utilize your full scope of practice in managing dispensing and drug distribution activities as well as supporting our pharmacists in providing patient care.

Hours of operation are 9am-5:30pm Monday through Friday, 10:30am-3:30pm Saturday and closed Sunday.

Specific Responsibilities and Accountabilities

- 1-2 years of experience in a pharmacy dispensary
- Experience with the Kroll pharmacy system is required
- Accurate and efficient data entries abilities
- Assists patients, receives written prescriptions, obtains medical history
- Processes POS/register transactions
- Provides friendly, prompt and courteous patient interactions
- First point of phone/contact for patients
- Updating patient profile and entering prescription information into the pharmacy (Kroll)
- Counts, labels and packages prescriptions, through workflow and bin management
- Prepares third-party insurance claims




- Orders, receives, stocks prescription drugs, supplies and over-the counter products
- Ensures pharmacy is clean / organized at all times
- Other duties as required

Qualifications

- Registration with the Alberta College of Pharmacy on the Pharmacy Technician Register
- Strong commitment to patient care and customer service
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Good organization, self-motivation, effective communication, attention to detail, and customer service skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Team-oriented mindset with a positive attitude
