Our growing Brampton client who is a leader in packaging manufacturing is looking for a Tool Set Up Technician to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 years related experience and will be responsible for the following:

- Perform tooling, and material changeovers, troubleshoot Tooling, Presses and Processing defects, provide technical expertise on machine processing and Tool set-ups, optimize machine efficiency, and ensure production conforms to quality and customer specifications.
- Provide technical assistance to the shift Supervisor. And support Production needs.
- Perform Tool set-ups and changeovers, machine start-ups, lock outs and shutdowns as required.
- Set up tools and equipment for production processing; Install, align and move stationary mechanical equipment such as conveyors, stackers, and dies. Perform minor mechanical adjustments and repairs during tool setup to ensure proper alignment, clamping and secure operation.
- Prepare and follow first piece procedure to ensure conformance and product quality is met.
- Troubleshoot Tooling, Stackers and Presses, Conduct audits, and monitor parts for quality.
- Respond to the 'call light' to assist operators, resolve quality, processing, and set-up issues.
- Ensure cycle time ; SPM is running to rate and any Tooling or Press parameter change requirements, etc. are followed and adhered to.




- Perform tooling preventive maintenance checks
- Update daily reports (i.e., surveillance audit, tool change reports, set-up/tool change forms, etc.).
- Work with maintenance, tooling, and quality to reduce quality-related concerns and issues. Support and assist Maintenance and Tooling Teams in trouble shooting the presses and tooling and ensure proper and safe setups.
- Operate hoist and lifting equipment to change coils. And Reach / Forklift trucks to change tooling.
- Clean and lubricate machinery on a regular basis and perform as per set frequency.
- Identify any wear, damage, or malfunctioning components and report corrective maintenance requirements.
- Assist and be aware of LOTO ( lockout/tagout) procedures during maintenance and tool changes.
- Work in a safe and efficient manner using all personal protective, safety equipment and devices that are required, in accordance with all STW documentation (if STW is not developed for any process within this job, proper training techniques must be followed).
- Be actively involved in Continuous Improvement; promote and sustain any and all CI, 5S and STW activities.
- Other duties as assigned.

Shift - rotates days and afternoons - NO NIGHTS
Pay- $34.16/hr plus benefits
