Our Shift Supervisors play a key role in overseeing daily operations within the Operations Centre. In this position, you will be responsible for leading a team of Operators, ensuring effective monitoring, incident response, and adherence to established protocols to maintain a secure and secure environment.
- Conduct audits of scheduling and reporting software to ensure data-integrity
- Facilitate timely dispatching of alarm and accurate follow up reports with resolutions for each
- Process client requests for ad-hoc coverage into our scheduling software
- Communicate occurrences impacting operations to internal stakeholders as necessary
- Ensure front-line security staff are informed and equipped to carry out their duties and responsibilities
- Compile and distribute shift briefs recapping pertinent events to the support service team
- Manage and maintain work-alone requirements for front-line staff as required
- Assist in radio and equipment tracking and inventory
- Coordinate, assign and review the work of security personnel
- Establish work priorities, delegate work to office support staff and ensure deadlines are met and procedures followed
- Resolve work-related problems or issues
- Write detailed daily logs and reports of all incidents and investigations
- Train new staff members in the job duties, safety procedures and company policies and occasionally perform same duties as supervised workers
- Ensure smooth operations of site orders, safety protocols, site equipment and supplies and arrange for maintenance and repair work
- Monitor quality levels to promote growth and development
- Effectively communicate problems or concerns with the project manager and security personnel
- Oversee and coordinate department procedures and review, evaluate and implement new procedures
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations
- Respond to emergency situations and providing guidance to in office personnel
- Perform other duties as requested to assist with operational needs
Requirements:
- Minimum of 1-year of work experience in a call centre, dispatch, or security operations environment
- Prior work experience in a supervisory, management, or leadership role would be an asset
- Commitment to professionalism and excellence in customer service
- Strong computer proficiency and the ability to learn and adapt to new software and applications; minimum 50wpm typing speed
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to function effectively and accurately in a fast-paced and stressful environment
