Trooper Pet Veterinary Nursing
Location: Simcoe County, Ontario (into Muskoka)
Job type: Casual / Part-time
Schedule: Approximately 1–2 weekdays per week, based on appointment demand
Compensation: Starting at $22/hr plus Mileage Reimbursements

About the Opportunity:

Trooper Pet Veterinary Nursing is seeking a compassionate and dependable Registered Veterinary Technician to provide mobile veterinary nursing services in clients’ homes throughout Simcoe County.

This is a versatile, casual position that may be ideal for an RVT looking to supplement their current income, maintain a flexible schedule or gain experience providing patient-centred care in a mobile setting.

Please note that appointment volume will vary, and therefore hours will vary.

Responsibilities

- Travel to clients’ homes to provide scheduled veterinary nursing services
- Perform services within the RVT scope of practice and Trooper Pet’s service offerings
- Handle patients calmly, safely and compassionately
- Communicate clearly and professionally with pet owners
- Maintain accurate patient records
- Process payments and complete required appointment documentation
- Work independently while following Trooper Pet’s policies and standards of care

Qualifications





- Registered Veterinary Technician in good standing with the OAVT
- Valid driver’s licence
- Reliable vehicle suitable for travelling between appointments
- Ability and willingness to use your own vehicle for house calls
- Strong communication and client-service skills
- Comfortable working independently in clients’ homes
- Dependable, organized and attentive to detail
- Passionate about providing patient-centred, low-stress care

Scheduling:

The successful candidate should be available to pick up approximately one to two days of house calls per week (8-20 hours). Scheduling and hours will depend on appointment bookings, business needs and the candidate’s availability.
