Pace Processing is seeking a reliable and mechanically inclined Texwrap Machine Operator to join our production team.
The Texwrap Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, monitoring, and cleaning our automated shrink-wrapping equipment, conveyors, and shrink tunnel. This position ensures products are packaged safely, efficiently, and according to production, quality, and food-safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up, start, operate, and monitor the Texwrap shrink-wrapping machine, conveyors, and shrink tunnel
- Load packaging film and confirm the correct film type, width, direction, and product specifications
- Select and adjust authorized machine settings, including conveyor speed, sealing conditions, and shrink-tunnel settings
- Complete product changeovers, film changes, guide adjustments, and initial product-quality checks
- Maintain proper product spacing, alignment, and orientation throughout production
- Inspect finished packages for seal integrity, tears, holes, wrinkles, product damage, and correct labels or date codes
- Monitor the equipment for jams, misfeeds, sensor faults, sealing issues, and temperature concerns
- Complete permitted basic troubleshooting and report unresolved equipment issues to the supervisor or Maintenance team
- Follow approved shutdown and energy-isolation procedures when clearing jams or accessing guarded areas
- Never bypass machine guards, sensors, interlocks, or other safety devices
- Complete production, quality, downtime, waste, and traceability records
- Keep the machine and surrounding work area clean and organized
- Follow sanitation, allergen-control, GMP, food-safety, PPE, and workplace-safety requirements
- Work with Production, Quality Assurance, Sanitation, and Maintenance to maintain product flow and reduce packaging waste
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Previous experience operating packaging or production equipment is preferred
- Experience with Texwrap or other automated shrink-wrapping equipment is considered an asset
- Previous food-manufacturing experience is preferred
- Mechanical aptitude and confidence completing machine setup, changeovers, adjustments, and basic troubleshooting
- Ability to understand and follow verbal and written safety, quality, food-safety, and production instructions
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify packaging defects
- Ability to maintain accurate production and quality records
- Reliable attendance and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production workplace
- Ability to stand for extended periods and safely perform repetitive work, bending, reaching, and handling packaging materials, with reasonable accommodation where required

- Starting wage: From $20.00 per hour, depending on experience

Schedule
Candidates must be available to work their assigned shift and at least one weekend day. Shift times and overtime requirements may vary depending on production needs.
