Looking for experienced Snow Loader Operators to join our commercial snow and ice management team for the upcoming winter season.
Position Overview
As a Snow Loader Operator, you will play a critical role in keeping commercial properties, industrial yards, and large parking lots safe and clear during major winter weather events. This is an on-call, seasonal position requiring flexibility and readiness to work overnight and weekend shifts based on weather forecasts.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate large wheel loaders equipped with snow pushers, buckets, or blades to transparent snow from commercial lots and stack snow efficiently.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any mechanical issues immediately.
- Work safely and efficiently around parked vehicles, pedestrians, buildings, and other crew members in low-visibility or high-stress conditions.
- Communicate regularly with dispatch and crew leads regarding site progress and conditions.
- Assist with manual shoveling, sidewalk clearing, or salting when required.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable experience operating heavy equipment, specifically wheel loaders, in winter or construction environments.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean abstract
- Ability to work long, irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, on short notice.
- Strong situational awareness and commitment to job-site safety.
- Ability to withstand working outdoors in extreme cold and adverse weather conditions.
Compensation & Perks
- Competitive rate: $500/week (commensurate with experience), Guaranteed pay per week.
- If you exceed max hours for the season an hourly rate will be added to guaranteed pay
