As our General Manager, Sales and Operations you will be responsible for streamlining operations and driving growth.

Position Summary

We are looking for a strategic, hands on leader who will oversee performance and drive growth. This is a sales focused position and so our ideal candidate is robust and confident in their ability to drive sales both individually and by enabling our sales team.

You have a great attention to detail, are organized and committed to continuous improvement in operations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Key Accounts

- Manage Key Account relationships to ensure that they are well served by our sales, service, marketing and accounting teams.
- Acquire a thorough understanding of key customer needs and requirements.
- Has margin responsibility and is involved in authorizing quotations for sales team.
- Assist owner in new business proposals and managing of existing relationships.

Targets and Strategy

- Work with owner and senior managers to set and achieve companywide profit and corresponding revenue goals.
- Set targets, performance plans, and rigorous objective standards for direct and indirect reports to achieve targets set.
- Monitor, manage and report on these metrics on a weekly/monthly basis, adjusting the business objectives as required.

Operational Management

- Manage key provider relationships negotiating service contracts, sourcing facility/equipment repairs and purchases as needed.
- Reviews,



improves and develops systems that reduce costs and improve operating performance.
- Inspire, coach, mentor, build and develop a team of dedicated professionals who are aligned to deliver or exceed set business objectives.
- Develop and support a team with a focus on safety, customer service, sales hunger and operational effectiveness.
- Lead by example by demonstrating on a daily basis the core values of success.
- Initiate process improvement discussions and establish/communicate solutions.
- Promote a positive corporate image of Action Imports by ensuring that appropriate and specified standards are maintained in all sales, support and service delivery activities.

Key Skills and Competencies:

- University/college graduate.
- Previous exposure to managing financials for a business segment and the ability to understand and communicate financial information.
- Expert analytical and problem solving skills.
- Competitive nature always striving to produce strong sales and profit growth.
- Strong communicator with demonstrated leadership skills and excellent people management skills.
- History of success in efficient management practices and leading highly productive teams.
- Bottom-line oriented, budget conscious, and metric/measurement driven.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver results under pressure and adapt to changing business requirements.
- Knowledge of WSIB and Occupational Health and Safety Regulations.
