Placemaker Construction is the general contracting arm of Placemaker Group, a vertically integrated real estate company with 20+ years building across the Lower Mainland. We deliver residential, mixed-use, commercial, institutional, and community projects for clients across BC. We're looking for an experienced Senior Project Coordinator, based out of our North Vancouver headquarters,head office, to support a mix of ground-uwood-frame residential, commercial build-outs, and tenant improvements across the Lower Mainland. You'll work closely with, and provide direct support to, the Project Manager and Site Superintendent on each project.
This role will support one of our projects located in the BC Interior and may require travel to site as needed throughout the project. The right person is comfortable with the drive and flexible enough to accommodate site visits, project meetings, and key milestones.
You'll be the person who keeps the paperwork, the schedule, key files and the communication moving, so that the supporting the Project Manager and Site Superintendent. can focus on running the job. It's a role that suits someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable being the point person that others rely on to keep things on track.
ABOUT YOU
- You're highly organized and detail-oriented, with a proven ability to keep documentation, schedules, and communication on track under competing deadlines.
- You're a clear and proactive communicator who can coordinate effectively between the Project Manager, Site Superintendent, trades, consultants, and suppliers.
- You take ownership of your work, follow through on action items,
and catch issues before they become problems.
- You're comfortable splitting your time between office-based coordination and site visits, and you're motivated by supporting a wide-ranging portfolio of ground-up community projects. and tenant improvement work.
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
- 2–5 years of experience as a Project Coordinator, Project Administrator, or similar support role in construction, with experience on multi-family residential or mixed-use projects required. Wood frame experience, and exposure to commercial or tenant improvement work, are assets.
- Working knowledge of construction documentation, including submittals, RFIs, purchase orders, subcontracts, and change orders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail and accuracy in reporting.
- A valid Class 5 driver's licence and the willingness to travel to our project sites, including to the Interior of BC, as required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Excel, and Word is required; experience with construction management software such as Jonas Premier is an asset.
YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
As Senior Project Coordinator, you'll support the Project Manager and Site Superintendent across all phases of the project, with primary responsibility for project administration and document control.
You will:
- Maintain document control for the project, ensuring drawings, specifications, and project records are accurate, current, and accessible to the team.
- Manage submittals and RFIs in Jonas Premier, tracking status, follow-ups, and turnaround times to keep the project moving.
- Enter and track purchase orders, subcontracts, daily logs, and payment documentation in Jonas Premier,
and support the Project Manager with change order documentation.
- Prepare and distribute meeting minutes, as well as help coordinate scheduling for site and project meetings.
- Support schedule tracking, helping the Project Manager and Site Superintendent monitor progress against the project schedule and flag potential delays.
- Assemble close-out documentation and packaging as the project nears completion.
- Act as a point of contact for project reporting, providing day-to-day administrative support to the Project Manager and Site Superintendent
Success in this role is measured byadministrative accuracy, RFI/submittal turnaround time, and reporting timeliness.

Pay: $85,000.00-$95,000.00 per year
