Seeking qualified associates with experience in Structural Steel Welding and Fitting experience .
- Experience in a heavy steel fabrication/machining/assembly setting
- Weld and fit components together using MIG welding
- Read & interpret shop drawings and weld diagrams to ensure accuracy of work
- Use hand tools, torches, and other tools as required to complete work
- two or more years experience as a Welder Fitter working on custom components
- Capable of reading & interpreting shop drawings and weld diagrams
- Strong attention to detail and quality of work
- Ability to handle physical workload
- Safety conscious
- Overhead Crane and Rigging an asset
- CWB Certified is an asset but willing to certify
- TSSA tickets an asset
Responsibilities
- Position is specifically for a Welder/Fitter
- Weld and fit components together using MIG welding
- Read & interpret shop drawings and weld diagrams to ensure accuracy of work
- Use hand tools, torches and other tools as required to complete work
- if selected you must do a Weld Test
Pay: $27.00-$30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
Experience:
- FITTER /welder: 3 years (required)
Licence/Certification:
- Overhead Crane and Rigging (preferred)
- TSSA tickets (preferred)
- work permit (preferred)
