Material Handling Equipment (MHE) Operator – Afternoon Shift

Reliance Employment Ltd. is currently hiring an experienced Material Handling Equipment (MHE) Operator for a distribution facility in Richmond, BC.

Position Details

- Position: MHE Operator
- Location: Richmond, BC
- Shift: 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
- Wage: $22.00 per hour, plus a $1.00 afternoon-shift premium
- Schedule: Full-time
- Start Date: As soon as possible

Important Transportation Requirement

Applicants must have their own reliable vehicle, as public transit does not operate regularly near the worksite during the required shift hours.

About the Position

This position is within a pharmaceutical account and requires extensive onboarding, documentation, and compliance training.

During the first month, the role will consist of approximately:

- 80% paper-based training and documentation
- 20% hands-on training and operational work

The initial training is detailed and may feel repetitive; however, it is essential due to the strict procedures and compliance requirements of the pharmaceutical industry. Candidates must be patient, attentive, comfortable reviewing written materials, and fully willing to participate in the training process.

After the initial training period, the role will generally consist of:

- 80% operational and physical work
- 20% documentation, ongoing training, and continuous improvement activities

Key Responsibilities

- Safely operate material handling equipment
- Move, organize, load,



and store products as required
- Follow pharmaceutical warehouse procedures and safety standards
- Complete all required onboarding and compliance training
- Accurately review and complete operational documentation
- Follow standard operating procedures and workplace policies
- Participate in ongoing training and continuous improvement
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment

Qualifications

- Previous experience operating material handling equipment
- Valid and applicable equipment certification is preferred
- Previous warehouse or distribution experience
- Comfortable completing extensive paper-based training
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written instructions
- Good communication and organizational skills
- Dependable, punctual, and committed to workplace safety
- Comfortable working in a highly regulated pharmaceutical environment
- Must have a reliable personal vehicle
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
