Liquor Inventory Clerk

Position Summary: The Liquor Inventory Counter is responsible for accurately counting, recording, organizing, and reconciling liquor, wine, beer, and related beverage inventory. This role supports inventory control, loss prevention, purchasing accuracy, and smooth store or warehouse operations by ensuring that stock counts are completed carefully, safely, and on schedule.

Key Responsibilities

· Conduct accurate physical counts of liquor, wine, beer, coolers, mixers, and related inventory items.

· Record inventory counts using paper count sheets, spreadsheets, handheld scanners, or inventory management software Barventory and Freepour.

· Compare physical stock counts against system records and report discrepancies to management.

· Strong math skills.

· Identify damaged, expired, missing, misplaced, or slow-moving products during counts.

· Assist with receiving deliveries by checking quantities against invoices, purchase orders, or packing slips.

· Organize stock rooms, shelves, coolers, and display areas to support accurate counting and efficient replenishment.

· Rotate products using first-in, first-out practices where applicable.

· Follow all company procedures related to alcohol handling, inventory security, and loss prevention.

· Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.

· Communicate inventory issues, shortages, overages, or product concerns promptly.





· Assist with periodic full-store inventory, cycle counts, and audit preparation.

Qualifications and Skills

· Strong attention to detail and accuracy when counting and recording product quantities.

· Technology savvy. Inventory systems i.e. Barventory and Freepour. Excel spreadsheets, scanners, or point-of-sale systems

· Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

· Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.

· Knowledge of liquor, wine, beer, and beverage categories is helpful but not required.

· Must meet the legal age and regulatory requirements for working with alcoholic beverage products in the applicable jurisdiction.

Physical Requirements

· Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift repeatedly during inventory counts.

· Ability to lift and move cases of liquor, wine, beer, and other beverage products, with assistance when required.

· Ability to work in stockrooms, receiving areas, and coolers as needed.

Pay: From $17.60 per hour
